Are snowboard pants sutible for skiing ?

I am only skiing for 6 days, and just wondered if snow boarding pants where ok for skiing as to salapetes. i have skied and snow boarded before, and am skiing this holiday but going back to a beginners group so it isn't to full on. many thanks

1. yep, they're fine for both. i use exactly the same stuff for skiing and snowboarding. i don't think there needs to be any difference, and i don't there is any that's significant.
2. it depends on wat kind of skiing ur giong to do. if ur just going to go for fun then yes it would be fine. But if ur a downhill ski racer like i am then no that wouldnt be good. if ur a racer i would suggest buying a ski suit. the prices for them are around 100-1500$

5. it really doesnt matter, unless your racing, which you arent. so yea the only distinction between ski gear and snowboard gear is that burton and some other companies are boarding-oriented but it wont effect your skiing if you wear it, and ski-race gear is obviously only helpful to ski racers...
6. You can pretty much wear anything you want to wear skiing, however I would strongly advise that you don't wear jeans. I find that if you want to look steezy snowboarding stuff is fine the only main difference between snowboarding clothing and skiing clothing is most of the time bagginess. And good kuck skiing I recently just had my 4th day after boarding for 6 years and also landed my first 5 hope you catch on quickly as well ;p Geoff
7. NO! Looking at the pants from the back, ski pants are designed to travel away from you, while snowboard pants are meant to travel to either side. Mix the two up and you are risking SERIOUS INJURY!
