Ladies Ski Pants

Whats the difference between ski pants and snowboard pants? can i use ski pants for snowboarding?

1. I don't think there is a difference. I ski A LOT. Snowboard pants just tend to be thicker sometimes, but it really doesn't matter. You can use either or, they should be just referred to as "snow pants"
2. no difference..of coarse you can use ski pants for snowboarding. such a silly question =D
3. I think the main difference is aesthetic. They're both warm and waterproof so there's no real difference. Board pants might be a bit thicker but it's not important. I wore cheap rain pants to the mountain with no problems.
4. yeah u can, its all brand and style mainly, sometimes different padding
5. theyre pretty much the same except that boarder pants are baggier and r more stylish. rock the plaid
6. Typically snowboard pants have more style and room... you will see most young skiers - especially freestyle - in snowboard clothing these days. They want to look good too.
7. ski pants have a higher waist. snowboard pants are a little baggier and have a lower rise. you could use ski pants for boarding cause there isn't a huge difference.
