Is it okay to buy snowboarding gear for skiing?
I understand that snowboarding gear is a bit bagger. Would this be functional or practical for skiing? would i look out of place wearing for example the more articulated knees in the snowboarding pants. I do like the look of the snowboarding gear as opposed to the skiing gear from a purely aesthetics stand thanks for the advice in advance. I've only been skiing a few times and each time i used my mates old season gear. This is what i was looking at: http://www.surfanic.co.uk/PRD_ProductDetail.aspx?cid=2&prodid=2827&Product=DEVILOCK-MENS-PANT-NEW-TWEED-OLIVE http://www.surfanic.co.uk/PRD_ProductDetail.aspx?cid=2&prodid=2818&Product=DREADS-MENS-JKT-NEW-TWEED--OLIVE

- man have you seen the pro skiers in the freestyle comps, go for it so long as you are comfortable and look good that's all that matters, i am a boarder but know a skier that wears burton gear all the time. The gear looks good to me so just do it
- whatevers comfortable for you. if you like the baggy look then yeah totally go for it. just get the right boots :) ha
- No. Snowboard clothes get very jealous of other sports. They have been known to revolt when worn for snowmobiling and cross country skiing. Since alpine skiing is snowboarding's biggest rival I have to strongly recommend against wearing snowboard gear when skiing. I wouldn't want to see your clothing get upset and cause you to crash.
