Snowboarding pants?
I've got waterproof pants but its really thin and I need something to go under it. Would like warm pj pants work? Or sweat pants? Or jeans? Any ideas?

- I normally wear leggings under my snowboard pants
- make sure you wear something that is NOT made of cotton. it HAS to be made of polyester because its breathable. your sweat's suppose to leave your body. cotton absorbs sweat and it makes it uncomfortable for you later on. so no jeans, no pj pants. yes to sweat pants. find a thick one if possible to keep your warm. if you're cold stil, get some longjohns made of polyester.
- Yea. Pjs sound like a good idea. Thats how i did it, but it was alittle too warm so i switched to gym shorts, but its all in your snowpants. -kevin
- sweat pants work i dont that but i have warm pants so i dont know good luck
- Usually snowboard shops have a protective layer called the base layer that you can buy there. If you dont want to buy special clothes than sweatpants work or long underwear.
- Sounds like you've got what they call shell pants. They are designed to be super waterproof and protect against the wind - So you've got that part covered. For your first layer or base layer use Merino leggings if you're riding somewhere really cold. Otherwise cheaper Polypropylene ones will do just fine. DONT use cotton (PJ's sweat pants, jeans), they make you sweaty when your riding then when you cool down on the lift you'll freeze in your own sweat - nice thought.
