How do I decide which snowboard pants to get?

I just started snowboarding and am looking to buy my first pair of snowboard pants. I was looking at a pair that are 5000mm waterproofing and 5000g breathability. Are these good enough for me to sit on the snow and not get wet? OR should I look for something higher?

4. Don't buy pants for looks buy for warmth. If you want warm then you need to buy Under Armour. It costs a lot because its the best on the market. You can buy those goofy looking pants that "Look" good but if you want to be warm then buy these Under Armour pants. Dicks Sporting goods might have them otherwise order them online off the under armour website. Ground shipping will be free. Don't make the mistake of buying the other junk, its not as warm as Under Armour is.
