Ladies Ski Pants

What would be a good alternative to snowboard/ski pants?

I can't find any snowboard or ski pants in my size and I want to try snowboarding soon. What type of pants could I wear as an alternative that will keep me dry or close to dry?

1. Having a waterproof layer is so important. Wet, cold clothes can ruin a really good time. What size are you that you can't find good snow pants? Have you tried on-line ski shops? I have a good pair of snowboarding pants that I bought at a ski shop, but I even found a pair of inexpensive snow pants at Target to wear for just casual playing in the snow. Columbia and Charles River make waterproof pants, check out online outdoors stores or local camping/sporting goods stores.
